• Question: Do you belive that there is other life out there in the universe, what is your proof?

      I do believe it’s likely we will find life elsewhere in the universe, it seems strange that most stars now seem to have planetary systems, but we’re the only one with life. However, there is currently no proof that there is life elsewhere – even in our solar system. We do have some likely places though like europa or titan in our solar system, and we are looking for life there!

      We don’t really know, but I think that chances that there is other life in the universe are high.

      The reason is that we now know that there are lots and lots of other planets in the Universe — billions in our Galaxy alone! So it’s only a matter of finding “the right one”, just like Goldilocks. It needs to be the right size, at the right distance from its sun, with the right elements on it… True, there are many requirements, but then there are many, many planets, so it’s very probable that there will be one that “just right” and that life can live there.

      As our ability to look for planets like the Earth grows, I am pretty sure that we will discover one in the next few years.

      I think there must be other life out there, even though there isn’t any proof yet, for the same reason as Roberto – billions of galaxies, each with billions of stars means quintillions of planets! That’s 1000000000000000000s! So even if only 1 in a million planets have life on, there would still be billions of planets with life on. I hope the chances are higher than that though, otherwise the nearest life might be a long, long way away!

      As others have said, there just must be life out there somewhere! Maybe not in our solar system and maybe not in a nearby solar system either, but it has to exist! We can’t be the only place in the infinite space that is the universe where everything was “just right” for life to evolve – it’s crazy!
