I haven’t been into space – I guess the closest thing I ever did was to go to one of NASA’s space camps when I was about 16. We were put into teams and had to simulate space missions. We had to repair a satellite and I got to be on the robotic arm attached to the space shuttle which was a lot of fun! We also did weightless simulations in a massive water tank and a lot of other fun stuff.

I haven’t been to space. I guess the closest thing I’ve done is ride on a roller coaster. When you drop quickly, that is similar to the “free fall” that you feel in space.

Hardly anyone has been to space, only a few hundred in the whole world ever! So I haven’t been either. The closest I’ve been is on a plane I suppose, which is about 14 km up… which is about a quarter of the way there!

Unfortunately no, I’ve never been to space. Very few people actually have 🙁

I would love to go though if ever given the opportunity! Whilst I am waiting, I will just have to make do with flying in an ordinary plane to go and work with colleagues from NASA and play with my Mars rocks! That’s pretty close to being in Space, isn’t it? 😉

Sadly not – I wish I could go, though! I think in 20 years’ time we’ll all be able to go to space just like now we jump on a plane. So there is hope!

The closest thing I’ve done to being in space is watching Gravity (the movie) — it’s very well done, and pretty realistic (or so it seems!)
