• Question: have you ever tested any experiments on yourself??

      No! I look at brown and white dwarfs to find out what they are made of – I can’t do that on myself.

      No, since we’re astronomers, we look out into the universe to do our research. So, there are few experiments that we can do on earth, and none on ourselves.

      No I haven’t tested anything on myself. As Nate and Sarah have said, it would be quite difficult as we look at things in Space.

      But, I do use x-rays to look at my rocks and I have had many X-rays recently as I broke my thumb – does that count?

      No, all the stuff I work on is very far away or otherwise invisible, so there is no testing I can do on myself.

      But often I do demonstrations for schools and students, and they usually involve some foodstuff, cooking, explosions or a mixture of them — and I always try them out on myself first!
