Mainly hydrogen! Most things in space are mainly made of hydrogen. However, the small amounts of other things in the atmospheres of stars can be really interesting. In brown dwarfs, the other elements like carbon and oxygen can form clouds of methane and carbon dioxide and water. As the brown dwarf cool, other chemical reactions occur and you get some really interesting clouds!
