I’m normally in work between 9.30 and 6.30pm but I do check email at home as well!
If I’m observing then I’m awake all night obviously!

I usually work from around 10am until 6pm. But, because i love what I do, I often work on weekends and in the evening from home. I also take a lot of holiday though…so it probably averages out to 40 hours a week or so.

It depends as no two days are the same! I normally work from around 10 am until 7 pm but it can be earlier or later if I have things that need to be finished, or if I am on fieldwork then it can be a 8 am start and not finishing until midnight! Some of my lab work requires me to be in the lab up to 22 hours a day!

It depends — now that I have a small daughter, I tend to stick more with the usual 9-5 pattern, but this is not always possible because sometimes you have to do something by a specific date (especially if you work with lots of people, and they need your help in doing a piece of work before they can go on and do theirs), in which case I’ll end up working until late at night.
I usually am at my desk in the office by 9am, although many mornings I get up at 6am to work until 7.30am before the rest of my family wakes up (or I go out running). Sometimes I work a few hours during weekends, too. Before I had a daughter, I worked longer hours, typically at least 10hours a day.
