      Pluto is a dwarf planet. A dwarf star is totally different! Pluto is a rocky body that is so far from the sun the surface is -240 degrees. Chilly!

      It is likely to be a remnant of the formation of the solar system. So after the rocks became Mercury, venus, earth and mars some debris was left in the asteroid belt, as moons to the gas planets and outside the outer planets – the oort cloud. It’s likely pluto is a large rock that got left over then.
