I love what I do. I get to spend all day learning, and being on the cutting edge of modern science. Being a scientist I get to travel around the world, meeting interesting people from nearly every country on earth.

I know so few people who really love what they do for a living, that I consider myself to be extremely lucky.

I have always wanted to be a scientist for as long as I can remember so the inspiration must have been early on! I was always encouraged by my parents and teachers at school so I would imagine it has a lot to do with them!

I love what I do! I wouldn’t be doing it if I didn’t because it can be really hard and there are some really long hours at times as well! Still, it is really nice when you get to talk to people about your work, those in science and those outside of science and they are interested or even inspired themselves! That makes it all worthwhile.
