We don’t know for sure. It’s possible that there is no “other side”, but some people believe that it might be possible to build “wormholes” that take you to other, far places in the Universe. However, this remains very uncertain.

Unfortunately, if you went through a black hole you’d be stretched out like a piece of spaghetti before you even got through, so you wouldn’t be likely to survive the experience anyway! As Roberto says, it is possible they might lead somewhere, but we really don’t know. One of the main reasons that we study black holes is that their gravity is so strong that they bend space around them, which makes things act different to how they normally would. And that’s just outside the black hole! Inside, the gravity is probably even stronger and space is even more twisted! So we definitely can’t say that it we know it wouldn’t lead to another part of the universe, or a completely different universe!

I’ve always wanted to know the answer to this as well but as far as I am aware, no one really knows and it is unlikely that we ever will find out! Shame.
